Lindsay’s experience with childbirth began while attending Haverford College where she received a BA in anthropology. She researched and wrote her senior thesis on the philosophy of midwifery care. Through that process she fell in love with midwifery and began the path towards becoming a homebirth midwife.
In 2004 she completed my academic training in midwifery at Birthwise Midwifery School in Bridgton, Maine, a MEAC accredited Certified Professional Midwifery school.” She became a CPM in 2006.
While in school she apprenticed with four homebirth practices. She then traveled to the Philippines to work in an incredibly busy birth center for three months. Upon returning from the Philippines she completed her training with a busy practice in southwestern New Hampshire. Lindsay joined Sacopee Midwives in 2006.
Lindsay is also a New Hampshire Certified Midwife. She maintains certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation and CPR and is a member of MACPM and Midwives of Maine. Lindsay has two beautiful children who were born at home in Maine.
